I COME PREPARED
Going 70kmh. down a moving mountain and having the calmness to focus on the perfect line at the same time takes talent, practice but most importantly preparation.
Sebastian trains all year round with Professor Dr. Djukic to be in the best physical shape, designs his special surfboards with Bert Burger and study’s the waves and possible lines with his team constantly. He is obsessed with finding out what possible.

SAFETY IS KEY
Responsibility is necessary for a long lasting career in anything. Surfing waves with more than 500.000 tons of water crashing down behind you takes a the best safety setup there is. Sebastian started to work with Dr. Axel Haber, German Navy emergency medic in 2014 and developed the Nazare safety plan first for his own safety, but then taking responsibility for the whole community. Today Sebastian and his team including Dr. Haber and Nuno Oliveria are the leading force of water safety in Nazare and aim to constantly make the sport safer.

IT’S ABOUT FUN
While most people think of big wave surfing being a very serious, scary and dangerous sport, which it is, Sebastian’s main reason surfing big waves is because he has fun. All the pressure, fear, hoping and waiting is gone when he finally stands on his board. His philosophy always being ready gives him the freedom to enjoy the biggest waves and having fun in the most challenging environment.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”4187″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
